Baltimore National Aquarium

April 25th - Well, as with every portion of this trip so far, my trip to Baltimore, with my Sister (Kathleen), was awesome. While the weather was supposed to be mostly rainy, it turned out to be mostly sunny. We only had a few drops of rain on Saturday night. - - - I decided to make at least 2 blog entries due to the number of pictures and videos I took this past weekend. With that in mind, the ones below are just of the Baltimore National Aquarium. If you've never been, and you get to the Baltimore area, I strongly recommend going. - - - As "Earth Day" celebrations were on-going for several of the past couple days, I thought this 1st picture would help celebrate the theme.

The 1st picture below shows Kathleen staring down a trout. - - - Amazing how brave she is when the fish is behind glass, and you'll see more evidence (below) of that bravery.

Course I have to admit, I was pretty brave too (getting inside the shark's jaw below) since the body of the shark was not included. Now this was a big shark jaw!

The following group of pictures were taken in the area (pier) for Austrailia. Seeing some of the flowers and wildlife made me reflect on the great time Barb and I had when we visited Australia in the past.

Can't believe this Great White posed so close to the glass. Thankfully the glass was REALLY thick!!!!!!

Barb will love the picture (of a picture) below since she fed hundreds of lorikeets when we were in Australia. - - - Beautiful birds!

The pictures below show some of the MANY Jelly Fish in that section of the Aquarium. Although the pictures are very nice, please be sure to watch the videos (at the end of this post) to get even more of an idea of their beauty and gracefulness.

Dophins. Everyone loves dolphins...and these were no exceptions. It was hard to get many photos that really captured their playful nature, but the ones below give you an idea.

The rest of the photos show many of the different fish and other wildlife present. It was just amazing to see so many different species. - - - Lion Fish below.

Puffins.
