Had another hot and humid day for the game which made it a tough day to be at the park. But as we all know, even a tough day at the park is better than a lot of other things. - - - The day was made even better due to my Brother-in-Law (Ralph) providing me his Cubs shirt so I could look the part of a good Cubs fan. Unfortunately, the shirt didn't help the Cubs win the game....bummer. - - - My Nephew (Jon) and I still had a good time and enjoyed the day with some friends.
Clint, Scott and Jon (below) did their best to keep hydrated by drinking LOTS of fluid. Not sure if it helped, but we sure felt better.
After the game, we went back to Scott's house where we had several treats. The first treat was this excellent salad. Delicious!
The next treat were these brats and sausages that Scott first cooked in beer, then on the grill. They tasted fantastic!!!
Scott's dog Mortimer loved playing with his toys, but even he paused to focus on the food being prepared.
The last treat was the view we had from the roof-top deck at Scott's house. I know I've shown a lot of pictures of the Chicago skyline, but they just all seemed so awesome, especially those from Scott's deck. - - - The first 3 pictures show what was originally the Sears Tower.
This next picture shows the view we had of the John Hancock building.
Finally, this last picture shows what happens when I try to keep up with the young men, then have a good meal. - - - As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
