These next 2 pictures show the Bond Lake Flowage waterfront right in front of the cabin. It's also the place where we've caught the most Northern Pike (between 24 and 28 inches). As I'd indicated before, none have been to large, but all have been fun to catch.
This next set of pictures show how the lake has been affected as water has been drained so that work could be done to the existing dam. The low water certainly makes it a concern as a person navigates a boat across the water...as there are exposed tree stumps everywhere.
This loon (on Duck Lake) put on quite a show by chasing minnows within feet of our boat. Also, at first, we did not notice that the pair had a nest on some nearby rocks. As seen in the 2nd picture, Mom was setting on the nest, either protecting the babies or ensuring the eggs hatch. Either was, it was awesome to see!
