May 5th - After getting off the ferry, I drove from Digby to Halifax. While I'd taken a lot of pictures, many were not too clear or had trees or other obstructions blocking the view. However, the ones below give a general idea of what I was able to see. Shortly after heading North/East, I realized I'd made the correct turn when I saw the exit for Paradise.
I've always dreamed about taking a road trip where I could visit many areas of the country and see family and friends. - - - Now that I'm retired from the Air Force and General Dynamics (2 wonderful careers), my dream is becoming a reality and will begin on March 24th, 2010. - - - I leave Colorado Springs and begin driving East in my 1963 Corvette that I've owned since 1973. The car has been rebuilt to be a "driver" and work includes a body-off-frame reconditioning; a new suspension system; many upgrades; new wiring; a new interior; a new convertible top; and a 327 power plant that develops something over 375 horsepower. - - - I've got many exciting things planned during the trip and plan to post data about each stop. - - - Major stops will include Missouri; Indiana; Kentucky; Virginia; Maryland; Massachusetts; Nova Scotia; Michigan; Indiana (again); and Nebraska before I return home in late June or early July. - - - The trip is dedicated to my wife (Barb) and my Sister (Karen) as cancer survivors. - - - I hope anyone reading my blog or viewing the pictures will find it interesting. - - - The whole trip is estimated to be somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 miles.
