April 9th - Well, the first couple days in Florida have been awesome. We've had some good weather, and some rainy weather. - - - Already played LOTS of cards (Uker, Spades, and Pinochle). We also played a dice game called 10,000. - - - Of course I've been on the winning team each and every time. Well at least a couple of the times. (Don't want to get into any detailed and factual discussions about winning and losing....as long as "I" think I won, that's all that matters.) - - - We've been enjoying the food here locallly. Lots of raw oysters, and I found a dish that has baked oysters with cheese and jalapenos. (Delicious) - - - The first pictures below are of a restaurant that is frequented by my family when they come to Florida every year...and I now know why. Great Food! - - - We also went to the Dog Track. I hit a small Trifecta (1st, 2nd and 3rd places correct order), but my Nephew Jon was the BIG winner with a Quenella (1st and 2nd) that paid over $128. I think the dog I picked to win that same race is still running. - - - The pictures below some some of the sights and some of my family. Hope you enjoy. - - - Will be heading back to Indy late on Sunday and will be meeting up with my Brother (Dave) and his wife (Beth) for breakfast before I head off towards Bowling Green, KY on Monday. Take care. Tom
Great restaurant...great food.
My Sister (Karen), Brother-in-Law (Ralph) and Matt at Billy's.
Played golf, or should I say I tried playing golf at Bay Point. Beautiful course but, as you might be able to tell by the wet clothes in the 2nd picture, we got to enjoy some pretty heavy rains for several of the holes. Fortunately we had antifreeze for our bodies (beer).
My Nehphew Jon and baby Ben.
This is an example of the result when a certain nephew hangs with Uncle Tom too much.
This is a picture of a signature platter at a restaurant called Dirty Dick's. We all had some pretty great food.
