Day Trip to Peggy's Cove - Nova Scotia

May 6th - Had a fun day in Nova Scotia. - - - After taking some pictures of the Dort family around the Vette this morning, Chris and I drove South toward one of the famous lighthouses, which is at Peggy's Cove. - - - To start, we got a couple nice shots of the quaint fishing village, then headed up the hill to the lighthouse.

The Peggy's Cove lighthouse (shown below) also serves as a post office during the summer months when there are more tourists around. - - - While the weather turned cold and wet VERY quickly, we still got some nice pictures.

Also had lots of opportunities to get some good pictures with the Vette.

After our trip, Chris and Allayne told me they wanted to go to a "Pizza Place" for seafood. The food (as promised) was outstanding. All 3 of us ate too much but it was SO good.
After dinner we took off for a drive around the coast. While pictures were tough to get due to the weather, we did stop and get a picture of this famous moose sculpture. The cement moose (at "Cow Bay") "was erected in 1959. Allyane and I took our chances; got close; and Chris snapped the picture.

Going back to Peggy's Cove, there was also this memorial to the Swissair flight that crashed in 1998.
